A Culinary Background Built Hands-On
Owner Patricia Alanis has spent more than 16 years in the culinary industry, including 14 years specializing in catering and 10 years working in sous chef and executive chef roles. Her experience spans nearly every corner of the kitchen, from prep cook and line cook to event catering, food truck service, weddings, and large-scale events.
Patricia’s experience includes:
- Catering intimate private events
- Coordinating large weddings and corporate gatherings
- Working on food trucks and pop-up events
- Managing kitchen operations as a sous chef and executive chef
- Developing seasonal menus and specialty dishes
- Leading teams in fast-paced culinary environments

Why The Sprig Started
The Sprig was created to build something lasting: a family business rooted in creativity, flexibility, and genuine connection.
After years in the culinary industry, Patricia wanted the opportunity to create her own menus, build her own vision, and create a healthier work-life balance for her family. As a parent of five children, building a business that allowed for both creativity and family life became deeply important.
Today, The Sprig continues to grow through community relationships, local events, referrals, and a genuine love for bringing people together through food.
